The 32nd annual Biketoberfest® on Oct. 17-20 attracts motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world to the Daytona Beach area and Volusia County to enjoy the Florida sunshine, live music, bike shows, and scenic rides.
And like with many motorcycle rallies, there are always some traditional rituals that riders and spectators want to accomplish during their visit.
Here’s a look at five things to do in Daytona Beach during Biketoberfest® to check off your list when attending the four-day rally:
Daytona International Speedway and the Official Biketoberfest® Welcome Center
Daytona International Speedway is the mecca of motorsports and will be hosting thrilling motorcycle racing during Biketoberfest® with Championship Cup Series’ National Championship Sprints and the American Sportbike Racing Association’s crowning of its seasonal champions. The speedway will stage the area’s largest motorcycle marketplace with live entertainment and vendor displays.
When making your stop at the “World Center of Racing,” be sure to visit the Official Biketoberfest® Welcome Center, which will be located in the display area. Along with information about the area, the Welcome Center will be handing out free posters, pins, and poker chips for visitors. Don’t forget to mark your hometown on the map and see how far other rally attendees have come to attend Biketoberfest®.
Teddy Morse’s Destination Daytona
Yet another can’t-miss stop during Biketoberfest® is Teddy Morse's Destination Daytona, which features a 109,000-square-foot showroom that showcases both new and used Harley-Davidson motorcycles, along with a large selection of biker clothing and accessories. A range of other biking-focused shops can be found on-site as well.
When hunger strikes, visitors can choose their favorite eatery from options like Houligan’s, Daytona Pig Stand, Big Scoop Ice Cream, and Wild Hog Café. Be sure to check out Saints & Sinners Pub, too! Cold beverages are always on tap at Saints & Sinners and this venue also features live entertainment every day during Biketoberfest®.
Main Street
A trip to Biketoberfest® must include a stop at the historic and iconic Main Street in downtown Daytona Beach, which offers plenty of destinations for biker-friendly food and fun. Just a few of the can’t-miss hot spots here include Main Street Station, Dirty Harry’s Pub, and the Bank & Blues Club.
Peanuts at Tomoka State Park along the Scenic Loop
Winding through lush live-oak canopies and boasting an abundance of beautiful ocean, river, and marsh views, the famed Ormond Beach Scenic Loop covers 30-plus scenic miles running from Birthplace of Speed Park to the Tomoka River basin. Along the way, bikers should plan a stop at the Tomoka State Park for their popular Cajun boiled peanuts.
At the Tomoka Outpost located inside Tomoka State Park, chill off the beaten path and enjoy ice-cold beer (including two local craft beers) and peanuts while overlooking the Tomoka River. Tomoka Outpost also offers their world-famous Cup-ah Cajun (Cajun boiled peanuts), ice cream, snacks, a wide selection of sodas, fresh coffee, gift items, and more! Manatees, dolphins, alligators, and birds of all kinds can be seen from this destination.
Steak tips at the Iron Horse Saloon
The world-famous Iron Horse Saloon is a popular biker bar location located off U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach and is known for its live music during Biketoberfest®.
But the Iron Horse is also home to another ritual – sirloin steak tips. This legendary food item of Biketoberfest® can be found at the Saloon. Make sure to enjoy this delicacy along with a cold beer and live music.
